TeleTraffic Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 23, 2026

TeleTraffic respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how TeleTraffic handles information when you use the TeleTraffic mobile application, the TeleTraffic website at tele-traffic.com, and related TeleTraffic services.

Who We Are

TeleTraffic provides traffic information, audio traffic reports, and traffic-related tools, including the Ask TeleTraffic feature.

Our website is:

https://tele-traffic.com

Questions about this Privacy Policy or TeleTraffic’s privacy practices may be submitted through our Contact TeleTraffic page:

TeleTraffic Mobile Application

The TeleTraffic mobile application provides live and recently generated traffic reports for supported markets and allows users to ask traffic-related questions through text or voice.

The app does not require users to create a TeleTraffic account to listen to traffic reports or use Ask TeleTraffic.

Microphone and Speech Recognition

TeleTraffic includes an optional voice feature called Tap to Speak.

When you choose to use this feature, TeleTraffic requests permission to access your device’s microphone and speech-recognition capabilities.

Microphone access is used only when necessary to recognize a traffic question spoken by the user.

TeleTraffic itself does not intentionally create or retain recordings of your voice through this feature.

Speech recognition is performed using speech-recognition capabilities provided by your device, operating system, or associated speech-recognition provider. Depending on your device and configuration, audio may be processed by the device manufacturer, operating-system provider, or speech-recognition service according to that provider’s own privacy practices.

After speech is recognized, TeleTraffic receives the resulting text transcript.

You may choose not to grant microphone or speech-recognition permission and may instead type a question or select an available roadway.

Ask TeleTraffic Questions

When you use Ask TeleTraffic, the question you type or the text produced from speech recognition is sent securely over the internet to TeleTraffic’s servers.

The request may include:

  • the traffic market you selected; and
  • the text of your traffic question.

This information is used to determine the appropriate traffic response and return it to the application.

TeleTraffic does not require your name, email address, phone number, or user account in order to use Ask TeleTraffic.

Traffic Reports

The TeleTraffic application retrieves traffic-report information and audio from TeleTraffic servers.

Traffic information may originate from TeleTraffic systems and third-party traffic-information sources.

TeleTraffic may update, organize, interpret, or present this information for use in its traffic-reporting services.

Advertising and Sponsor Content

The TeleTraffic application may display sponsor or advertising content.

Sponsor banners may contain links that open a sponsor’s website or another external website. Once you leave TeleTraffic and visit an external site, that site’s own privacy policy and terms apply.

TeleTraffic is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party websites.

Device Permissions

Depending on your device and the features you choose to use, TeleTraffic may request permissions including:

  • Microphone access
  • Speech-recognition access

These permissions are used to provide the features described in this Privacy Policy.

You may manage application permissions through your device settings.
